OBJECTIVES By the end of the lesson, students are expected to achieve the following objectives: 1. Knowledge: * Listening: - Ss will be able to listen and circle the phrases they hear about Mr Lam and his students are discussing about how to save energy at home, then check True/ False statements. * Writing: - Ss will be able to write a paragraph of about 70 words about how to save energy at home. * Pronunciation: - Pronounce the new words related to topic Energy Source correctly. * Grammar: - Review Present simple 2. Competencies: a. General competencies: - Group work and independent working, pair work, linguistic competence, cooperative learning and communicative competence. - Be co-operative and supportive in pair work and teamwork. - Actively join in class activities. b. Specific competencies: - Pratice listening and writing about the topic “energy sources” + Listening: - listen to the conversation between Mr. Lam and his students for main ideas and specific information about the topic how to save energy at home. + Writing: Write a paragraph of about 70 words about how you save energy at home. 3. Qualities: - Develop awareness of energy sources and energy saving. .. 1

Aim: - To develop student’s listening skills for specific information. It also provides input for the writing skills. - To lead in the new lesson 2. Content: Review the previous lesson or have some warm-up activities to create a friendly and relaxed atmosphere to inspire Ss to warm up to the new lesson. 3. Listen and circle the phrases. 3. Products: Ss can answer the questions. Ss can listen and circle the phrases correctly. 4.
